The S32Z and S32E processors are part of the NXP S32 platform and are multicore Arm Cortex application processors. As real-time processors, it is their goal to optimally meet real-time requirements by combining gigahertz speed, multiple application isolation and memory expansion capabilities.
The S32Z and S32E include a product longevity of 15 years. Both families include eight Arm® Cortex®-R52 processor cores supporting split-lock and dual-core lockstep Cortex-M33 processor cores and a DSP/ML processor, as well as communications acceleration, TSN Gigabit Ethernet switch and HSM. In the area of cyber security, the S32Z and S32E support ISO/SAE 21434 and ISO 26262 ASIL D. TSMC 16nm FinFEt technology is implemented within both processors.
The S32Z processors are primarily suitable for safety processes as well as domain and zonal control.
The S32E processors find their ideal usage in the control of electric vehicles and smart actuation.
